Overheard in Shreveport
Scene: Mother and daughter shopping together, enter multi-stall public restroom... Mother finishes first, washes hands and stands waiting for daughter to emerge from her stall.
Mother
: I think that will be a really cute gift for her, don't you?
Daughter from inside stall
: [silence]
Mother
: Yeah, it will.
Hurry up grandma!
Daughter
: Who are you talking to?
Mother
: You!
Daughter
: [long pause]
I'm texting.
Mother
: [sighs and leaves bathroom]

Ark'

Luh-Tex
is a word for the region where Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas come together to hang out. You know, cause they're neighbors and friends.
